Plot
The brothers Alexander and Oliver are the last survivors of a quarantine-camp for teenagers being infected by a new virus disease.
As their best friend Sebastian – also infected by this virus – one day commits suicide because of desperation – the elder brother touching the cadaver infects himself.
Oliver now starts looking for the rescuing medicine which has been launched above the camp. But there is not much time left as Alexander’s state declines.
The idea behind the film...
The film "Lost Brothers" deals with actual and relevant fear of an upcoming pandemia.
In times of H1N1 flu this film shows in an overdrawn way, a scenario which infected people might be caught in because of panic and irrational decisions.
The shocking end is supposed to show the hopelessness and helplessness of the main characters and intends to make the spectators think about it.
The fact that all characters of the film are young adults and teenagers should also hint at the lack of possible political interest of young people who might be accepting decisions made for them without their agreement – made by elder generations.
